The Ponderosa community sits 137 metres (450 feet) above beautiful Okanagan Lake – a 135 km (84 mile) long, glacier made lake that stretches from Vernon in the north to Penticton in the south.

With one of the warmest climates in Canada, the valley offers an abundance of recreational opportunities centered on the Lake. Water enthusiasts enjoy swimming, boating, waterskiing, sailing, kayaking and more.

As the mercury rises in summer months, residents and visitors alike flock to the Okanagan’s many beaches. Peachland features 11 kilometres (seven miles) of pebble beaches and a wonderful waterfront walkway. Peachland’s family oriented Swim Bay has an active fun area with diving boards, rope swing and zipline and is patrolled in summer by the only lifeguards on Okanagan Lake.

The lake is what centers everyone in the Okanagan. Soak up the sun on a beach or jump in for a swim. Race about on a personal watercraft or float along on a houseboat, sipping local wine. Picnic in the shade at a waterfront park or explore while scuba diving. The lake provides endless moments of fun and relaxation for all.

Your home at Ponderosa puts you only steps from the refreshing blue waters of Okanagan Lake.
