The great Okanagan outdoors

Canada’s western most province, British Columbia, is home to boundless nature, scenic beauty and spectacular vistas.

Located in the B.C.’s Southern Interior, the Okanagan Valley is a picturesque region that follows the twists and bends of Okanagan Lake and numerous smaller lakes. The valley extends from Osoyoos, at the border with the United States, northward to Penticton, Kelowna, Vernon and beyond.

The Okanagan is renowned for its golf courses, fruit orchards, vineyards, ski resorts, wineries and varied landscape.

A year-round playground for residents and visitors alike, the Okanagan Valley offers endless recreational opportunities for every season.

With one of the warmest climates in Canada, the Okanagan offers an abundance of summer activities, from relaxing on beaches to swimming, boating, kayaking, sailing and much more.

From early spring to late fall, the valley’s many golf courses are open and summer brings the promise of wine tastings and the beginning of fruit season, with cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, pears and apples in abundance.

Winter sports take center stage in the Okanagan, which is blessed with four ski resorts. Big White and Silver Star are globally recognized winter wonderlands that provide exciting times for all ages.

The Ponderosa Golf Course and Ponderosa community are in Peachland, located at the mid point of the Okanagan Valley.
